One Thing I Learned About Taking Risks

Entrepreneurship and risk are almost impossible to separate. But one thing I've learned is that taking risks doesn't mean being reckless.
The best entrepreneurs don't necessarily make huge bets without thinking. They try to understand what they're risking, what they could gain, and what they can do to limit the downside.
Starting a company is a risk. Launching a new product is a risk. Leaving something that is working to pursue something that might work better is a risk. Even asking someone to invest in your idea means risking rejection.
But avoiding risk completely has a cost too. Sometimes the bigger risk is doing nothing.
What seems to separate strong entrepreneurs is their ability to become comfortable with uncertainty. They gather as much information as they can, make a decision, and accept that they won't always know the outcome beforehand.
One thing I learned: Being an entrepreneur isn't about being fearless. It's about learning which risks are worth taking.
